Erin Condren Life Planner - A Review

Do you know that feeling you get when you walk through the stationery aisle during back-to-school shopping?  That tingle of excitement as you select the pens, pencils and notebooks you'll be using for the year?  Well, that's the same feeling I get when I visit the Erin Condren website.

Where You Can Find Free Books

If you're a book lover like I am, you could spend a pretty penny on Amazon or at your local bookstore stocking up on the latest best sellers.  Reading can be an expensive hobby, especially if you are in a book club or have signed up for a reading challenge for the new year.  No matter how many books you plan to read this year, you can find lots of titles (both new and old) for free.  Yes, FREE!

We made it to Friday and TGIF!  It's been a crazy week and I'm looking forward  to spending some time vegging this weekend.

Norwegian Heart Baskets - A Valentine's Day Tutorial

Today's DIY tutorial is actually a Christmas craft from northern Europe.  That's right - the julehjerte is a woven heart basket many Germans, Dutch and Norwegians make and hang on their Christmas trees as a decoration.  I'm switching things up a little and using them as homemade valentines because they are so darn cute.

My One Word for 2015

You might be familiar with the "one word" movement.  If not, it's a pretty simple concept.  Instead of having a list of resolutions for the New Year, you choose one word that encompasses your goals.

I fell in love with the idea of choosing a word that would mean something and carry through the year rather than setting a bunch of goals that will never truly last more than a few months.  I spent a lot of time thinking about what my word would be.  I thought about the goals I set last year and which ones I accomplished and which ones I still needed work on.

2015 Reading Challenge

One of my goals in 2015 is to read more books.  I love to read and I'm in several book clubs, but I find myself getting stuck in a reader's rut, reading the same genre over and over.  In order to get out of my rut and keep myself motivated to meet my goal this year, I've joined a reading challenge.
