Blog Update | Personal Hiatus

Hi friends.  Just wanted to share that I will be taking a break from the blog for a bit while I deal with some personal things. Feel free to check out the archive or post categories to read some of my older posts until I return.

Thank you for being a loyal reader.

Links to Love | 38

Good morning and happy Friday, friends!  We made it through the week and are so close to the weekend, I can smell the fresh-cut grass and hear the casual bustle on the street.  It's been a busy couple of weeks here and I'm excited to kick back and relax over the weekend.

I've spent the past week doing some reading, some porch sitting and enjoying spring's first berries.

When Your Marriage Hits A Brick Wall

In October of this year, my husband and I will be married for eleven years, together for fifteen.  The sad thing is, our marriage might not live long enough to see the anniversary.

Learning Humility Through Hospitality

This post is part of The Peony Project's monthly link-up

One of the best ways to learn humility is by serving others, also known as hospitality.  I'm not writing about entertaining, which most would think of when they hear the word.  I'm talking about selfless acts of service.

Dear Me | A Letter to My 16 Year Old Self #DearMe

Dear Me (A Letter to My 16 Year Old Self) #DearMe - A Simpler Grace

I don't get caught up in a lot of blogging/vlogging fads, but there is one that started going around a few months ago that I couldn't pass up.  It is called "Dear Me" and it is based on the book by the same name in which people share letters to their sixteen-year-old selves.  Somehow, a challenge was started for writers, bloggers and vloggers to share their letters on their respective home base sites.

This is mine.

Simple Gratitude | 03

The weeks are starting to run together as they usually do when we hit May.  The days are longer and the school year is wrapping up and it seems like everyone is go, go, going all the time.

If you've been hanging around the blog over the last few weeks, you'll notice that I have not been maintaining my normal posting schedule.  I'll be going into more detail as to why this is later in the week, but today's post will be the re-start or my normal blogging calendar.

Hot Body Year Round by Cassey Ho - A Book Review

I've been a follower of Cassey Ho for a long time.  She is the creator of Pop Pilates and the number one fitness instructor on YouTube with her Blogilates channel.  Her fast-paced fitness routines pack a punch but don't take up a lot of your time and she is so encouraging and fun to work out with.
