One of my favorite gifts to give children for any holiday is a book, and I always prefer a book with a purpose and message. This is why I was so excited to get the chance to preview The Legend of the Easter Robin, which is written by Dandi Daley Mackall. This book is thirty-two pages long and features the beautiful, color illustrations of Richard Cowdrey.
My niece is six years old and although she is familiar with the basic meaning of Easter, she doesn't really relate to it or comprehend all that it stands for. This book, which is geared for children ages four to eight years old, is the perfect way to bring that message to her.
Overall, I thought this book was perfect for children to read for the Easter holiday. It teaches compassion and really helps instill a faith in their little hearts.
