It's time to say goodbye to May but not without looking back over the month and reviewing what I've been up to around here on the blog and in life.

Happy Memorial Day, to those of you in the U.S. and happy Monday to those who are not.
I don't know about you, but I cannot believe we are through the first unofficial weekend of summer. It seems like just yesterday, last summer was ending and we were speeding toward the holidays. The winter felt like it would never end, yet here we are, staring summer down once again. Where does the time go? This week, in an attempt to slow time down a bit, I'm going to try to look around me and see the little things I've been missing. I want to find the beauty in everything and savor it.

This weekend is the unofficial start of summer. Let the road-tripping begin!
I've never been much of a vacationer, meaning, I don't really enjoy taking long trips away from home. I'm a homebody and much prefer a day trip or even a short weekend getaway. That being said, when I do decide to travel, one of the things I dread is the temptation to pull into a drive-thru for a quick bite after I've been on the road for several hours. We all know fast food is not a very healthy option but the convenience of it makes it more appealing.

The weekend was a dreary and cold one, but I feel like I managed to get a lot of work done. I did some photography work and got some writing done and also had time to connect with some very special people in my life. All in all, it was a good weekend and I'm one happy girl. I hope your Monday is lovely!

Good morning, friends and happy Friday! The rain finally let up for a few beautiful days before we get another week-long spurt of nasty weather starting this weekend. Can't complain, though, because there is so much to be done and without a warm sun calling me outside, I'll hopefully be able to tackle my very long to-do list. Hope you have a lovely weekend, despite the weather!

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for years, spending time alone together is key to keeping your relationship fresh. One of the things I strive for here on the blog and on all of my social media platforms is authenticity. It's important to me to be the person I say I am so you feel you can trust me and that you're always getting the real deal from me.
Social media has become very inauthentic lately and it's difficult to sort out what's real and what's not - especially when certain celebrities are getting paid $100,000 for ridiculous Instagram posts, just because of their name. Because of this, I thought I'd share a few things you won't find on my Instagram and a few things you will.

Happy Monday, friends!
Last week was a doozy. Between the crummy weather and some health stuff I've had going on, I couldn't wait for it to end. Here we are at the beginning of a new week and things aren't 100% yet, but I think they might be getting close. It's so important to always look for the silver lining in every tough situation. A grateful heart will bring you through those bad days!

I am, self-admittedly, one of the biggest Alice in Wonderland fans on the face of the earth. This much, you need to know. I love the books and the movies and I think having a tea party with the Mad Hatter sounds like a blast. In fact, the reason I collect antique tea china is BECAUSE of Alice and her afternoon banquet with Mad Hatter and March Hare. I tell you all this so you can understand how very excited I was when I got the opportunity to review this coloring book by Amily Shen.

Happy Friday! I don't know about you, but I have felt like it's been Friday the 13th and a full moon for like, a week now. It's been nothing but craziness and crazy people, NON-STOP. Hopefully, it will end soon, but for now, I'm sharing some interesting articles to keep you occupied over the weekend.

Has your family grown tired of having the same old menu for all your summertime holiday cookouts? Let's face it, you can only enjoy burgers and hot dogs so much before they become boring.
I recently gathered sixty summertime cookout recipes from some of my favorite food bloggers and am sharing these with you today. I hope you enjoy making some of these delicious dishes and are able to add a little excitement to your Memorial Day cookout!

It's that time of year again where I share my current fitness routines with you! If you've been following my monthly goals, you'll know that one huge goal I'm working on tackling is to do sixty days of yoga. Yep, that's two whole months of yoga - every day.

When life gives you dandelions... Make a wish, right?
Dandelions aren't the prettiest of the flowers or weeds in nature, but they sure do hold some special memories in my life. I can remember picking them as a kid, closing my eyes to make a wish and blowing all the little seeds into the wind, hoping my wish would be granted. I can't say how many of my childhood wishes came true, but I can attest to the magical feeling I still get when I see these little stems growing in the yard. If life were only as simple as closing your eyes and making a wish on a flower...

We all love a good journal, don't we? I've always been an advocate for using "brain dump" journals that are meant to be junked up with ideas and thoughts and sketches of things that you need to get out of your head before you go to sleep at night. Trust me, there's a lot of stuff going on in this head of mine and it's good to get it on paper!

Sweet, sweet Friday, we meet again.
Friends, have you ever found yourself in a season where you think you know where you are going, then something happens and you realize you have no idea? I feel like I am starting one of those seasons right now. This change has left me feeling like I'm blindfolded and have just spun in circles in a game of pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey.

Good morning and happy May!
I had an unexpectedly quiet weekend and was able to get a lot of work done both here on the blog and creatively. I also got to do some contemplation about this little space and what I hope for the future. It's always nice to have a good think about dreams and goals every now and then.
