It's the last day of the month and the last day of the blog-tember challenge! I have so enjoyed stretching myself a bit and writing every single day this month and I've loved making some new friends with the other bloggers who are participating. Today's prompt is a really cool one and I've been excited about it all month long.
Final prompt: You've been stopped on the street by a photographer of Humans of New York and he asks, "What advice would you give a large group of people?" Share a picture of yourself along with your advice.
My advice would be this: follow your heart.
Too often, we get stuck in jobs and relationships and situations that are unhealthy for us because it is easier to stay than it is to leave. Maybe we fear change or the risk of failing or being alone. Maybe we are just lazy. Whatever it is, it's easier for us to stick around and not be happy than it is to pick up, pack up and move on.
Life doesn't have to be this way. If your heart is telling you it's time to move on, listen. Follow. Take the leap of faith without letting fear hold you back. Maybe you'll fail and maybe you won't, but if you have the courage to move forward in the first place, you are certainly brave enough to dust yourself off and start again.
Follow your heart.
