Simple Gratitude | 110

I'm sharing my #gratefulheart on the blog. What are you grateful for today? #gratitude #feelingthankful

BRB... I'll be sleeping off that SuperBowl hangover. Just kidding. I actually hit the sack super early because I have been so cold all weekend long and all I've wanted to do is cuddle up in bed under the covers. I could get used to these 9 p.m. bedtimes if it wasn't usually my most productive time of the day. :)

Hope you have a great Monday!

This week, I'm grateful for:
  • Chicken soup. The temps plunged back into frigid range again this weekend and I have not been able to get warm. I've been drinking hot tea by the gallon and made a big batch of chicken soup in the crockpot. It's true what they say, chicken soup is good for the soul.
  • A blast from the past. Even if it is short-lived, it's nice to be reminded of happy times from days gone by. <3Bmon
  • Watching the Puppy Bowl and Kitten halftime show with my own fuzzy critter, Harley. He sat right in front of my laptop and watched all the animals while I worked on some painting.
  • Keeping that inbox at zero all week long. I made a goal to start unsubscribing to all that junk mail and setting specific times to sit down and deal with all my email. It is such a freeing feeling to open up my email accounts and not have a mile-long list of things to read.
  • New friends from the Holl & Lane community. We did a little friend-a-thon last week and I connected with so many beautiful and talented women. I seriously love this group.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. Awww love this list, Lecy <3 oddly, I accidentally erased all of the emails in my “other” mailbox in Hotmail. Not the super pressing personal emails, but 100s of emails from mailing lists and god knows what else and it felt unbelievably liberating to not have those clogging up my inbox any longer.

And I always love a good blast from the past.

I missed the puppy bowl this year! Sadness. It’s always so cute to see animals pounce around (beats seeing grown man tackle footballs lol).

Hope you have a great week!!

  2. Chicken soup is the best. You just reminded me that I need to finish unsubscribing to a bunch of junk mail. I love the Holl & Lane community. I love how that the community is open and encouraging.

  3. I really need to go and get rid of a lot of old emails that I just saved. I'm sure I don't actually need most of them anymore. haha I didn't watch the Puppy or Kitten bowl, but I'm sure it was really cute!!

  5. Chicken soup is honestly sooo good. We've been trying to make different versions and I don't think I'll ever get tired of a good soup!

  8. it is such a great feeling when we feel in control of our inboxes. I need to spend some time getting mine under control this evening. This week, I'm particularly grateful for all of the hope and opportunities that are coming my way. :)

  9. Yay! So glad you love the H&L community. It's one of my fave places ever - though, you could argue that I'm slightly biased. Hehe.

I know what you mean about not being able to get warm. I have been drinking cup after cup of coffee and eating tomato soup every day for lunch. I love winter, but the frigid temperatures need to go. I can deal with like a 50 degree winter, that'd be ok. :)

Today I'm definitely grateful for coffee -- from my Keuring machine. I needed to get it as fast as possible today :) Loved watching the Puppy & Kitty Bowl, too :)

  18. I'm with Kim here, inbox at 0!?!? Crazy but that's awesome! Must feel very good to not have any notifications. Want to take over my accounts? LOL jk.
I totally missed the puppy bowl but I was also doing pet visits so there's that. I had my very own puppies and kitties to visit. :)

  20. I have a stressful Monday to Friday job, so this is precisely why I love my weekend job. It’s not a job to me and it’s truly fun. :)
Now I just need to figure out how to make what I make Monday to Friday and translate that to pet sitting. But it’s widely known you don’t pet sit to become rich. Lol. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. :)

  21. It's nice to have a "job" that helps relieve stress! I have a friend who started a pet sitting business over a decade ago and it's a huge company now so maybe one day you could make it a full-time job. :)

  22. That’s amazing, good for her. That’s my plan, someday quit corporate life and start up something or take over my boss’ business when she retires. :)

Have a great day Lecy. :)
