Always, Sometimes, Never

15 random things I always, sometimes, or never do.

I've been doing a lot of heavy writing in my freelance and academic fields, so I wanted to share a post that was purely for fun. I did one of these random facts posts about two years ago and it was so interesting to think of some of the quirky habits I keep. I'd love it if you jumped in on the fun and shared something you always, sometimes, or never do in the comments below!

I always get excited about fall and school supplies this time of the year.
I always crack my neck, shoulders, wrists, fingers, and toes.
I always love looking at maps, no matter what they are of.
I always have a candle lit in my house.
I always take pictures of butterflies when I see one.

I sometimes eat a bowl of raw cookie dough (sans eggs) when I'm stressed out.
I sometimes hoard art supplies.
I sometimes cancel work for the day and binge on The West Wing instead.
I sometimes get upset when people walk on my freshly-vacuumed floors with shoes on.
I sometimes wish I could marry my best friend. (Yes, he knows this.)

I never answer my phone.
I never can sleep at night if I've seen a spider in my room.
I never wear headbands, but I own about thirty of them.
I never knit anymore, but have a bag full of new yarn and half-finished projects.
I never dog-ear the pages or crack the spines of my books.

What is something you always do? Sometimes do? Never do?

  1. Such a fun post Lecy!
I absolutely love stationery as well :)
Yes to the spider comment - I'm the same.
I hardly ever, ever dog-ear pages in a book but I lost my bookmark the other day. It was my own book but I was really not happy about it haha!

  5. I love this idea for a post, such a fun way to learn more about you! I always say I love you to my husband and son before I leave the house. I sometimes forget to put earrings on in the morning. I never put veggies on my hamburger (I'm weird I guess!)

  12. Definitely steal it. I got the idea from someone else. Haha. Glad I'm not the only one who feels like that about the best friend. Those relationships are just so easy compared to many others. :)

  13. I sometimes double cleanse my face too. I'm always amazed at how much stuff builds up on my skin throughout the day!

  14. Yep, I'm guilty of eating a whole bag for dinner too. Those cheese curls are so good, but so bad for you... :D

  15. I have always talked to my animals. People look at me like I'm crazy, but the dogs/cats understand in their own way and now, my cat has started to respond, in cat language of course. :)

Love this list! I'm a crazy school supply person too. That's one of my favorite things about August.

  18. Love this! I always keep my books in pristine condition, I sometimes forget to respond to my friends' texts, and I never stop myself from singing along to my favorite songs.

  19. This is such a fun list! I ALWAYS crack my fingers and toes, but NEVER my neck or shoulders. I also never dog-ear or crack the spines of books (and those who do shouldn't be allowed to read!), or answer my phone either - but I think that's everyone in our generation! Ha!

  20. I think I might love school supply season more than the holidays! :)

  21. I'm with you about keeping my books nice. Very rarely will I mark up a book, and that's only if I'm going to use it as a reference later on. :)

  22. Haha! I agree about the dog-ears and cracked spines. So rude to break a book like that... :)

  23. Ha! Headbands look pretty, but really hurt my head behind my ears. I started wearing headscarves instead. Very rockabilly! I like that you eat raw cookie dough too! That was a fun post to read.

  24. I loved this!
I have always wanted to work in an office supply store because I always hoard office supplies.
I love being a child therapist but sometimes am overwhelmed by germs, especially boogies on my things.
I never attend parties. Huge introvert, home body.

I love that you would want to marry your best friend. My best friends have always been guys and a few I have made pacts with, only to have the guy not hold up their end of the deal. I've not ever wanted to be married so I would have felt relatively safe marrying one of them when that time came...

  25. I never cross stitch anymore even though I'm in the middle of the project (from like 5 years ago) and still have all the supplies, so I can relate to your knitting one. I miss it!

  26. Headbands do the same to my head. I love scarves. :)

  27. I used to work at an office supply store and it was tough not spending all of my paychecks on pens and notebooks. I'm with you about never attending parties. I'd much rather cozy up at home. :)

  28. I haven't worked on a cross stitch project in years but have a few that I want to get started on this fall. :)
